Tiffany and Clinton wanted a classic night with a few hundred of their nearest and dearest to celebrate their big day and did they ever have one.  The aquarium is one of those venues that once you fall in love with it, nothing else is like it.  Throw in a classic Charleston carriage ride, and a beautiful downtown church, and you have the components of a truly Charleston Wedding.

Lauren and Adam and their beautiful day on The Wedding Row!

Oh my, but Legare Waring is one of the most beautiful venues in Charleston, and Laura and Mike wanted to be sure their guests got to see every inch of it!

For such a sprawling property, guests had to stay happy about all the movement by preparing not just a tour of turf but also of tastes!

We started with a beautiful natural ceremony under the largest oak on the property, followed by cocktails on the lake at the main house, and as cocktail hour ended, guests were lured down the Avenue of Oaks by the enticing sounds of Calvin Taylor.

From the pre-ceremony welcome of mini pilsners of microbrew and boiled peanuts served up in coated newspaper cones, to the late night snack of none other than Krispy Kremes, everyone simply followed their noses and palates.

Amazing fare from Mediterra, a delightful cake from Dolce, and nothing short of jaw dropping florals from Sarah York Grimshaw Designs made it the perfect evening under the oaks.

Congrats to one hilarious couple!

From the monograms to the vintage brooches, it was all about tradition for Tiffany and John’s sweet day on Sullivan’s and the Isle of Palms.

Guests attended a ceremony at the quaint Church of the Holy Cross followed by a night in from the chill in the air at the Citadel Beach House.  The wood floors and red runner really made you feel like the place itself was steeped in romance having seen many happy days before.

As if the sweet chapel wasn’t enough, a couple of caddies from years gone by made even their trips from place to place like a scene from older movies.

The chill was definitely setting in with the sunset, so the outside was brought in to keep everyone relaxed and dreaming of spring.

Of course, I have to thank the fab team at Tillman Branch for capturing all of it!

Brian and Jeanne just wanted to get away.  Both have hectic schedules and a love for each other, so they planned a quick escape filled with food and fun for just their nearest and dearest!

An intimate wedding on the beach seems simple enough, but their is much to consider, and I had to check off every last detail to ensure a relaxed day for all involved.  If you want, you MUST do the following: check the rules on every beach you are considering, only use rental properties that are prepared to host events, be prepared to be okay with inclement weather, and get any and all necessary permits.  Don’t try to fudge things and risk crowded guests, a party ended early by the authorities or expectations of great weather with a day ruined by rain.

While we had all the prep needed for these two cuties, the perfect sunny day arrived for a ceremony in the sand and a rooftop reception!

A guest book of handmade papers and vintage Folly postcards greeted everyone with the waves waiting just beyond.  Arbors do NOT have to be these white plastic things from Lowes, either, and to keep with the beautiful natural tones of the wood chairs and sand, we built this simple one for the soon-to-be-newlyweds from clustered bamboo poles.

Being so in love, the photos of the two of them are just gorgeous!

For guests from all over, everyone was given a taste of southern fare, and no day at the beach is complete without ice cream- cake, that is, and a late night snack of picnic far with pb and j’s and chocolate milk!

To top off the fun, a photobooth from the fantastic Tomme Hilton Gallery and dancing under the setting sun was ordered for all!

There are some weddings that stick with you.  Weddings where you can see the love of the couple and you feel like their entire day is just the perfect signature of them.

For me, Kip and Liz had one of those weddings.  I simply have to share like a billion of Juliet Elizabeth’s fab Photos!

Not only was it like hanging out with friends D’lish Desserts, Gourmet Bay Catering and Jade Water Designs as I worked with some of my besties, but their happiness just bubbled over into every element.

Both are creative people, wonderful wedding photographers in their own rights (check out some of their amazing work with us here) , and Liz a very talented graphic designer.

Her own work is evident in the v. cool paper used throughout their big day.

One of my fave things is finding out what a couple is into together and bringing it out.  What better than showing off some cool antique cameras and a do-it-yourself photo booth!

On top of that a family collection of cane poles were out on the dock for everyone to have an interesting past time for the evening.

Long story short, it’s easy to a an amazing wedding when two amazing people fall in love!

Ike and Ange, or Ikelina, as they came to be known in the planning process, do not get a lot of free time together.  For their May nuptials, all they wanted to do was kick up their Kentucky heels with a great day for guests in downtown Charleston.

In the planning process, ‘organic’ was a word that kept coming out with them, so we kept things simple and beautiful.

Instead of a tent, clean ivory umbrella tables fit into the lovely garden of Thomas Bennett House, which only made the surroundings pop.  I love taking my sketches to Country & Lace, because she always turns out a perfect version of the vision.

Add some bourbon lovers and the bluegrass sounds of Blue Plantation, and you’ve got a relaxed evening of good times ahead.

Fresh herbs and garden roses made things look as if they were there to stay, and the fresh local menu from Gourmet Bay was just as mouthwatering as it was fresh and light.

I loved designing this wedding almost as much as I love the images I got from Karson Photography of it!

First, I must say when Val at RIchard Bell Photography is shooting, I know the memories will be beautiful and amazing, and she did not disappoint!

Bring in Debbie at Country and Lace Florist who totally understood Jen’s need for the beautiful and different from hello.  With Jen loving so many beautiful bright florals, linens needed to let them speak, so clean wipe swept through the tent with an awesome green and white print that we whipped into satin trimmed overlays to anchor the centerpieces with a nod to all of the beautiful lawn surrounding their big day.

Being two J’s, that overtook the symbol for the day from the stationery to the moss adorning the entry to the gate.  My crazy friend Hayden at the awesome Ashley Bakery brought nice and tasty culmination of the style into their cake.

Throw in Kathleen Wilson of Aquaharp to serenade everyone through the ceremony, which ended with them being pronounced married and Spiritually Yours bursting into “Oh Happy Day” as they escorted guests across the lawn into cocktail hour.

With Cafe Catering feeding everyone and DJ Bryan cranking out the tunage, it really couldn’t be topped.

With all of those cute touches, what more could a couple ask for but a crowd of guests ready to have a good time and celebrate with them!  Luckily for Jen and Jeremy, they happily obliged.
